What it was and what it will be?

The Chai club came into existence one fine evening in the canteen, not surprisingly over a cup of tea. This was back in the fourth semester, if my memory serves me right.
Big thinkers, visionaries and dreamers that its founding members were, the whole idea didn't take too long to conceptualise and since no tedious committee selections/elections were to be held we started soon enough.
The idea behind the chai club was for chai loving engineers to unwind at the end of a hectic week and discuss anything under the sun; to give the grey cells a much needed workout. And that purpose it served pretty well. People were never a problem, considering two out of the three founding members were "drool maal" material and people's persons. Many sessions were conducted back then; some of the meetings were even held at famous tea joints outside college. To describe what we discussed here would be a difficult thing to do, plus I need to sleep soon.So maybe another founder fills people in on what we spoke about and what was the idea behind all of it.

Third year Chai club came to a grinding halt, because each of the three founding members was involved in some student body in college. And 'with great power comes great responsibilty' is an under-statement, which the founding members realised soon enough. So everyone was busy in their own thing and chai club took a back seat.

Fourth year and we feel the need to revive the chai club, but people continue to be involved in moulding their futures etal, so when we actually start meeting again is difficult to tell. Soon, I hope. But until we do, for all those who miss the chai club, the virtual world is where we shall operate for the time being.

Cheers!

  2. of course... but the sad fact is there is no meeting taking place, so we might as well take it online for now... of course this will just complement the existing chai club...
